And more

Also, they broke ground on the new Yankee Stadium today. Frankly, I'm indifferent.
But it does make me look forward to the new Jackie Robinson Stadium in Queens, which, unlike this new monstrosity in the Bronx, will be a force for good in the world, tracing its heritage back to the man who broke baseball's color barrier.
A few decades from now, young Yankee fans, the few that are left, will hang their heads, wondering what happened to their once proud franchise that hasn't won a championship since 2000. Some will lament the tearing down of the House that Ruth Built and blame their curse on demolition crews - which will have no basis in fact.
Everyone knows that the Yankees disgraced themselves in late 2001, when, against their better judgment, they utterly refused to wear NYPD or FDNY hats in favor of selfishly wearing their own caps. That's the reason they wont win another big one for a few decades - because they're classless! And the baseball gods, if nothing else, hate assholes.

Getting our shit pushed in by the Phillies felt so good on Monday night, that the Metropolitans decided to do it again yesterday, getting crushed 11-4. No reason to panic yet. Back in the day I was a big fan of the now disgraced Michigan Wolverine basketball squads. Every February, they'd lose a few games down the stretch to the bewilderment of Brent Musberger. They were bored. And now we're bored. Let's let the Phils gain some measure of dignity so they don't bother to play well anytime soon, ok?
Jose Reyes...Oooh wee!
