Well another 3-3 split with the Yankees after getting swept by the Red Sox up in Bean Town. A lot of Metropolitan fans would be hanging their heads. But not me. The Metsies are 15 games over .500 and 11 games ahead of the second place fighting Phils.

True. Some Met fans are concerned thinking, “This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we will be lucky to live through it.”
Wrong. Repeat after me, things are good. In fact, it reminds me of the heady days of Sputnik and Yuri Gagarin when the world trembled at the sound of our rockets. Now they will tremble at our ability to rebound from a few bad series.

It was just a few a few years ago that a certain former coworker of mine, codenamed “Ballsbags,” went off at work about how interleague play wasn’t necessary and there was no reason for the Yankees to play the Mets because the whole series was an embarrassment. Well how quickly things change, Ballsbags. The Metsies are hanging in there with the team that people from the Bronx like, despite spending like $400 billion less in payroll. Last I heard, Yankees fans were lining up at the tops of tall buildings or at crowded bars wondering what exactly is going on, screaming, "tech support! Tech support!"

They may have tied the season series, but Yankee fans are now faced with the impending reality that they’re going to have to watch the Mets celebrate a Series title this year, just two years after having to watch the hated Red Sox do the same. Indeed, we’ll sweep the Pirates and get on with this shit. People will read again!
