Recap, Part II

I'd like to thank Hotfoot Fan for stepping up and doing a recap I was supposed to do. I fell asleep.

Phew. After the past week, it's a relief to see the Metroplitans can still hit the ball. Eight runs on the board against RJ , who has shown complete disdain for the residents of the tri-state area on numerous occasions, always makes the Flushing Faithful feel good.

So a win tonight will seal a season series win against the Yankees, for the second time in three years. Baseball fans of New York will look back at tonight's win as a changing of the guard in the city's baseball history. "On July 2, my planes filled the sky," Mets fans will say decades from now.
