Cat Scratch Fever - Catching Up

I haven't been able to post much lately, as I had been stranded in South Carolina for a few days. I was actually kind of impressed, since I didn't see one blatant hate crime in my entire time there.

Anyways! Like the Fan of Hotfeet, I am filled with joy, Biblically. After David Allen Wright's clutch single off alleged child murderer Mariano Rivera, I lept, I hugged. My love is boundless for David Allen Wright, the redeemer, the merciful, the singer of songs, praise be upon him.

And yuns see Carols Beltran whack the ball over the fence off of the Big Unit (I was just going to call him the Big Unich, but that's really not funny). That's what we pay him the big bucks for.

I don't remember the rest of the night, but it must have been ok. As I awoke to find my alarm clock broken in two and my window wide open.

As I type, Jose Reyes is standing on second base, courtesy of the latest Giambi brainfart. I'm no fashion critic, but who the fuck gave this guy those sunglasses, Danny Tartabul?

Happy recap

I didn't see most of last night's game. I was on a bus headed for Foxwood's Resort and Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut, "The Wonder of it All." I was checking my cell phone for score updates, and was crestfallen about 7:15 p.m. when I saw the 4 runs the Yanks got in the top of the first.

Minutes later, a call from my brother: Beltran three-run bomb. OK, so this game wouldn't be a pitchers' duel, but with Jeremi Gonzalez and Randy Johnson on the mound, I guess that's to be expected (hahahahaha).

Whatever. We got to the casino, and I was able to get away from my function for a few minutes to catch the bottom of the ninth. Let's just say I'm glad I did. David Allen Wright, as is his wont, delivered us from evil with a double over the head of Treason Damon, ensuring the good guys would be the talk of the town Friday night.

Today we have Pedro vs. the Moose, in what actually should be a good pitching matchup. Let's go get 'em!!!!!!

BBPOTS Player of the Game: David Wright
